Basic services of Funeral Directors and Staff
The fee for our basic services and
overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you
select. (This fee is a Our fee for the basic services of Funeral Directors and Staff includes, but is not limited to, staff to respond to initial request for service; arrangement conference with family and responsible parties; arrangement of funeral; preparation and filing of the necessary authorizations and permits; recording of vital statistics; preparation and placement of obituary notice; and coordination with those providing other portions of the funeral, (e.g., cemetery, crematory, vault companies and others as required). Also included in this charge are overhead expenses relative to our facilities such as professional licensing, legal and accounting fees, insurance, building and utility expenses, parking lot and grounds maintenance, taxes, equipment, furnishings, inventory costs, record keeping and secretarial and administrative expenses.
EmbalmingExcept in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you have the right to choose an arrangement such as a direct cremation or immediate burial. It is the policy of Raymer Funeral Home to require embalming if other than immediate burial or cremation is selected.
Visitation at Raymer Funeral Home (not prior to or following the funeral service)Our services included visitation setup, use of visitation room, placement of encased remains, display of floral arrangements, parking facilities and supervision and attendance during the visitation (per day).
Visitation at other facility (not prior to or following the funeral service)Our services include visitation setup at a facility of the family’s choice, supervision and attendance during the visitation, transportation and placement of encased remains and floral arrangements.
Funeral CeremonyOur services include coordinating funeral arrangements, supervision of funeral, staff to attend the funeral ceremony, supervision of committal or other disposition services, and setup and use in our facility or in another facility for funeral ceremony.
Memorial CeremonyOur services include coordinating the memorial arrangements, supervision of memorial service, staff to attend the service, supervision of the committal or other disposition service and setup and use in our facility or another facility for memorial ceremony.
Graveside Ceremony Our services include coordinating the funeral arrangements plus everything included in the basic services of funeral directors and staff.
Forwarding Remains to another Funeral HomeThis includes removal of remains, basic services of funeral director staff, embalming, shipping container, and necessary authorizations. You may also include visitation, rites, or ceremonies prior to forwarding the body.
Receiving Remains from another Funeral HomeThe basic fee includes services of funeral director and staff, transportation from Charlotte-Douglas Airport, and transportation of remains to cemetery or crematory. This package does not include visitation, rites, or ceremonies, but they can be added to the basic fee.
Immediate BurialThe charge for immediate burial includes removal of remains, local transportation to cemetery, necessary authorizations and basic services of staff. This package does not include use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private. It is the policy of RAYMER FUNERAL HOME to require embalming if other than immediate burial or cremation is selected. Options include: A. Immediate burial with casket provided by purchaser B. Immediate burial with cloth covered wood casket selected from our funeral home C. Immediate burial with Triangle 20 GA non-protective casket
Direct CremationsThe charge for a cremation includes removal of remains, local transportation to crematory, necessary authorizations and basic services of staff. This charge does include the crematory fee. Use of facilities and staff for any visitation or ceremony, public or private, is an additional charge to the direct cremation package.
Cremation requires the use of an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of material such as fiberboard or composition materials (with or without and outside cover). The containers we provide are fiberboard containers. Options include:
A. Cremation with container provided by purchaser B. Cremation with fiberboard container provided by RAYMER FUNERAL HOME C. Direct Cremation with casket selected from our funeral home
You may contact the funeral home for a general price list. A licensed funeral director would be happy to give you any prices that you may request over the phone or we would be happy to mail you a price list. You may also come by and visit the funeral home where you may receive a general price list and discuss the services that we offer.
